Appointment of Tawfiq Hamed Albudairi Director General of MDLF

Minister of Local Government and Chair of MDLF Board, Dr. Huseeil AlAraj, appointed on Monday Dr. Tawfiq Albudairi  as Director General of the Municipal Developemnt and Lending Fund following the elapse of the term of Mr. Hazem Qawasmi, as acting Director General.

The appointment was announced in a ceremony at MDLF premises, attended by West Bank staff and connected via videocoference with the Gaza Strip. The Ceremony was also attended by staff members from the Ministry of Local Government, including Deputy Minister, Mohammad Hassan Jabareen, Minister’s Advisor for International Relations, Waleed Abu AlHalawa. Dr. AlAraj commended the vital role played by MDLF to support LGUs and praised efforts made by its executive management at all levels in building a strong, efficient and professional institution via implementation of different projects and programs to build municipal capacities and provide better services to citizens.

The Minister wished Albudairi   success in his new task in serving municipalities in the West Bank and Gaza Strip and promoting their role and service providers and developers of infrastructure to enhance development in Palestine. He reiterated the importance of  existing complementary relations between MoLG and MDLF, which is based on full partnership. He also stressed that MDLF success is an integral part of MoLG success since it is a core arm of the Ministry. He hoped the relation will be sustained and promoted.
