2 February 2016: Mr. Hazem kawasmi, the Acting Aeneral Managerin MDLF assured to the importance of organized planning in area C localities in the West Bank through executing important projects that were studied in important and scientific manner that will result in achieving sustainable development, and strengthen the citizens in their lands.
Mr. Kawasmi started the tour - with the manager of technical department Eng. Naim Nubani, and the area engineer Nizar Rashid- in Masafer Yatta and a number of village councils in Hebron governorate covered (Dura, Yatta, AL Karmel) municipalities.
The aim of this tour is to assess the current living condition experienced by Masafer Yata, and to discuss how to strengthen the resilience of the people in the face of dredging and demolition of homes and daily harassment by the Israeli occupation and herds of settlers.
Mr. Qawasmi confirmed that this speculator Bedouin settlements is a key component of the Palestinian national components, thus, to enhance the steadfastness of this citizens, the MDLF, and MoLG cooperate to have a plan on its priorities to satisfy the needs of the educational, health, agricultural, and developmental fields.
Mr. Kawasmi appointed that this visit comes within the Palestinian government, and Minister of Local Government orientations in support of marginalized areas, and (c) through the establishment of vital development projects which contribute to strengthening the steadfastness of the citizens and proofed their lands, in spite of the occupation and its plans and ongoing policy measures in restricting the establishment of such projects.
In the same context, Mr.Kawasmi met with the heads of local councils, Moussa Abu Arar, Mousa Makhamreh and Samir Namorah, both separately and listened them to the most needs of the infrastructure projects and development needs, and networks of sewage projects and economic development, in turn, Mr.Qawasmi confirmed to pursue all needs and work within possible.
Mr. Qawasmi praised of the efforts of the heads and members of local councils of the citizens’ services, also praising the role of the local community to participate actively in the establishment of development projects that will benefit the entire community.
